MoBud is a local-first webapp designed to keep your data under your control. This page explains what information is stored, how it is used, and more. Spoiler: MoBud does not operate a central database containing your mobility data — you store and manage it yourself.

Your data stays on your device

Ride logs, vehicles, costs, receipts, settings and addresses are stored locally in your browser. Studio Sampersand does not receive a central copy of this content.

Optional backups, under your control

You can export a local JSON backup or connect your own Google Drive. Backups remain associated with your own account and can be disabled or removed.

Google Drive is optional

MoBud requests only the permissions needed for its own app backup area. It does not grant Studio Sampersand general access to unrelated Drive files. Google services remain subject to Google’s terms and availability.

Free to use, without adverts

MoBud is offered as freeware without subscriptions or advertising. External services may apply their own limits, terms or future pricing.

Receipts and original documents

Uploaded copies are administrative aids. Keep legally required original tickets and invoices for your employer, accountant, tax authority or other competent body.

MoBud is provided “as is”. It does not provide legal, tax or financial advice. You remain responsible for backups, legal retention obligations and the accuracy of your administration.
